...is the energy generated by large wind turbines when the wind blows across the sky and spins the blades of turbines (Rear Elevation shown to the left) that in turn generate electricity to power homes, buildings, and other useful things. The electricity is metered and measured in kilowatt-hours or kWh for short. The wind turbines are connected to power & transmission lines and is then transferred to customers in the surrounding region through Renewable Energy Credits & their Certificates or RECs. These RECs enable customers to purchase clean, renewable wind energy without changing power companies or installing additional equipment at their home or place of business. It is also a direct investment to support the development of future wind farms nationwide. Wind-e® Renewable Energy is “fresh” from the turbine and is typically sold within less than several months of being generated.
By purchasing SKY Energy® Wind-e® Renewable Energy, organizations and individuals can actively choose energy generated by a renewable resource, reduce air pollution, and support the continued development of wind energy for a modest premium over your local utility bill. Companies and institutions can use the Renewable Energy Credits & their Certificates in support of their Green Power to become members of the EPA Green Power Partnership and to meet their Energy & Atmospheric requirements established by the U.S. Green Building Council.
